Vicky Kaushal’s period drama ‘Chhawa’ continued to rule at the box office, even after the recent OTT release on Netflix. Currently, in its tenth week, the film has crossed the 66th day of 600 crores on its 66th day, on its 66th day, ‘Pushpa 2’ and ‘Stri 2’ became the third Hindi film to achieve this milestone. ‘Chhawa’ opened for a blockbuster response, earned a strong pace in its first week with Rs 225.28 crore and Rs 186.18 crore in the second week.
On release of its Netflix, the film finished fifth in the non-English film category, indicating its widespread appeal. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Madock Films, ‘Chhawa’ stars an artist of artists including Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, and Diana Penty. AR Rahman’s stirring score complemented the epic story, increasing the influence of the film.
