“I could not refuse as I was earning from the same industry. I thought that someone can give him tea as a show of respect towards me, but no one will invest Rs 20 crore in a film with him. However, since I also came from a village and worked hard, I believed that if they remained honest and kept trying, they would not be deprived. As an action director, I have never approached anyone to give me work,” shared Shaam.

But, the actors were denied the opportunity to audition. “He used to go for auditions and people would refuse to even let him audition. They would say, ‘Why should Vicky audition?’ (Why should we audition Vicky?) But I always taught her, unless you experience humiliation, you will not truly grow. Make that insult your strength,” senior Kaushal recalled.
He further added, “Vicky told me that he has got a role of 3-4 scenes in Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and many people were telling him not to do a small role. He later called me and said, ‘I keep looking for work and they are giving me work, so I want to do this.’ I stand by his decision.
