Veteran Tamil actor Madan Bob goes through 71 after batting cancer, Prabhu Dev has given a heartfelt tribute

Veteran actor-comedian Madhan Bob, who used to work primarily in Tamil films, left for the heavenly residence at the age of 71 on Saturday. He had health issues. A source close to his family confirmed the news of his death, PTI said.

Madan Bob was struggling with cancer

Madan Bob was reportedly struggling with cancer. His last moment was spent at his residence in Adir, Chennai. He shared screen space with actors like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Ajit, Surya and Vijay.

Prabhudev mourned Madan Bob’s loss on social media

Choreographer, actor, and director Prabhudev paid an emotional tribute to Madan Bob on social media. He posted a picture of the late actor on X and gave a note for him. “We shared the screen, and his appearance always gave happiness to the set,” he tweeted.

Saying him “cheerful, kind and filled with humor”, Prabhu Dev said, “He made everyone feel happy around him. Heartfelt condolences to their family. He will always be remembered.”

For Bin Bulaye, Prabhu and Madhahan Bob worked together in films like James Pandu, Penin Manthai Thutu and Manadhai Thirudivitai.

All about Madhan Bob’s personal life and work in front of work

S. Born as Krishnamurthy, Madan Bob was an eighth child in his family. Bob contributed to Tamil films as an assistant artist in his career, spreading for four decades. He rose to fame during the 1990s and 2000s and appeared in more than 200 films. He was allegedly inspired by veteran actor Kaka Radhakrishnan for his unique acting style, which featured eyes and animated facial expressions.

His remarkable characters include Diamond Babu and Manager Sundarson among friends. Bob also appeared in films like Sati Lilavati, Chandramukhi, Kavalan, Run, Varlaru and Wasul Raja MBBS.

Apart from Tamil films, Madan Bob entered two Malayalam films, including Bhammaram and Celluloid and a Tamil film, Bangaram. Bob was also part of Kamal Haasan and Tabu’s 1997 Hindi classic film, aunt 420.
