Katie Holmes is thrilled to receive a precious gift from her daughter Suri Cruise on the occasion of her 46th birthday. The actress shared a picture of a bouquet full of purple roses on her Instagram. Along with the photo, on her social media story, the actress also penned a sweet note for her 18-year-old.
Apart from the picture of beautiful roses, the actress also received wishes from her fans and friends, but what caught the attention of her fans were the flowers. Holmes felt excited about the present, writing, “I am very grateful for all my blessings, especially my daughter.”
The Dawson’s Creek star has her only child with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Ahead of the actress’s birthday, Suri, who is studying in a college in Pittsburgh, was seen in New York to cheer for her mother in a Broadway play.
Talking fondly about his daughter, The Dark Knight star said that he is proud of his daughter. Speaking with Town & Country, the actress reflected on starting college at 18, saying, “Of course, I’ll miss the closeness, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy.”
Opening up about Cruise’s teenage days, Holmes said, “I remember being at this age, it was the beginning. It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so thinking about it that way makes me happy.

The actress’ statement about her daughter comes in light of Tom Cruise shutting down rumors of setting up a $1 million trust fund in his daughter’s name.
The actress took a screenshot of the rumored news and put it on her Instagram story. He also wrote, “Completely false.” The story that followed also included a photo of a news report with the words “enough” written over it.
While the proud mom keeps Suri mainly out of the spotlight, she has occasionally commented about her daughter. In a 2022 interview with InStyle, the actress shared, “I love her so much. My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality. To make sure she’s 100 percent herself and strong, confident and Is capable of knowing more about it.”
She added, “She turned out to be very strong – she’s always had a strong personality. She’ll pick an activity and work hard until she gets really good at it. Then she’s like, ‘Okay, I’m going I’ll try the next thing.’ She’s very focused and hard-working.”
Suri Cruise turned 18 in April this year.
