Creating a medical history, doctors of Narayan Health successfully performed three heart transplant surgery in less than 12 hours.

The rare incident saved the lives of three youth in the mid -30s, waiting for Donor Hearts for more than a year.

Doctors said that patients were in a phase where high pressure in their lungs could soon be impossible.

Getting a suitable heart over time gave him a new opportunity in life.

Teamwork across the city

Donor Hearts came from three separate hospitals – Spars Hospital (Yalehanka), Ester CMI (Hebbal), and Manipal Hospital (Old Airport Road).

They quickly moved to Narayan Health city through the Green Corridor, special traffic-free routes arranged for organ transport.

A large team worked together: heart failure specialist, transplant surgeon, anesthesiologist, perfectionist, transplant coordinator and important care doctor.

Their effort was supported by Jeevasarthakhe (Satto), Karnataka’s state organ and tissue transplantation organization, which helped in organ allocation and smooth transport.

“This milestone reflects the skills of our transplant team and public support and timely coordination. Above, it is possible due to the great option made by the donor families,” Dr. Varun Shetty said, Senior Advisor Cardiac Surgeon.

Another chance in life

All three surgery were successful, and patients are now stable and are recovering under close monitoring.

Doctors said that this success also proves the strength of the heart’s heart failure and transplant program, one of the biggest people in India. The program provides care for patients with advanced heart failure, including ECMO and ventricular assist device.

The hospital thanked the Donor families, whose kindness made the transplant possible. His decision to donate organs gave hopes to three families and said how organ donation can save life.

This medical achievement shows how medical skills, quick coordination and liberal hearts come together, especially when it comes to giving people a new life.
