Is pomegranate iced tea good for you?

Absolutely! Pomegranate iced tea is a healthy beverage. Its main ingredient, pomegranate, is rich in antioxidants and vitamins such as A, C, E and B-complex, which support overall health. Since this recipe includes honey and the natural sugars of pomegranate, it doesn’t require additional sweeteners, so it’s perfect if you want to keep an eye on your calorie intake. The base of this recipe is green tea, which has anti-inflammatory properties that can benefit your overall health. When combined with the other ingredients, this pomegranate iced tea becomes a wonderful beverage to enjoy in the evening or with your meal.

Can you use black tea instead of green tea as a base?

Yes! While this iced tea recipe uses green tea for a light and refreshing taste, you can easily replace it with black tea for a stronger flavor. If you prefer a deeper flavor, choose black tea. Just remember to steep it a little longer than green tea to get that richer flavor. Pomegranate will give a fruity flavor, while black tea will create a stronger base.
