Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar criticized a part of the audience, believing that she makes films for the rich. In a special interview with India today digital, Akhtar was asked if she focuses on those who call their films as incredible like ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Dil Dhadkane Do’. The director, whose latest film, is ready for release, ‘Superboys of Malegaon’, mentioned that those who “misuse” to make films for ‘Richace’ ask them to make ‘Zindagi Na Melgi Dobara’ again.

Akhtar said that he is here to make good cinema. She said that when people can say what they want, she understands what she is making. “They can keep saying anything.
