They abuse me but want Znmd remake: Zoya Akhtar criticized for making films for the rich
Director Zoya Akhtar addressed the criticism of his films like ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. In an interview with India Today Digital, she said that she gets ‘confused’ when the same people ask her to make a film like ‘Znmd’.

Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar criticized a part of the audience, believing that she makes films for the rich. In a special interview with India today digital, Akhtar was asked if she focuses on those who call their films as incredible like ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Dil Dhadkane Do’. The director, whose latest film, is ready for release, ‘Superboys of Malegaon’, mentioned that those who “misuse” to make films for ‘Richace’ ask them to make ‘Zindagi Na Melgi Dobara’ again.
Akhtar said that he is here to make good cinema. She said that when people can say what they want, she understands what she is making. “They can keep saying anything. One thing I know I have made all kinds of films. ,Incidentally fate was different; The stories of lust were different. I have made very different things, “he said.
The 52 -year -old mentioned that she feels “confused” several times due to this reaction to her films. “But, the only thing that people keep asking me to remake me after abusing me is ‘znmd’. Akhtar’s latest project, ‘Superboy of Malegaon’ is directed by Reema Kagti. The film is a dramatic conversion of a documentary with the same name. It is about a group of boys from a small town called Malegaon, who search for their sheer love to make cinema and start making their own films with local talents and whatever work can be arranged.

The film is slated to hit the screen on 28 February, and this includes Adarsh Gaurav, Vineet Sinning and Shashank Arora, others. It is co-produced by Amazon MGM Studio and Ritesh Sidhwani-Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment.
