Tamil actor Shivkarthikeyan, who is ready for the release of his upcoming film ‘Madarasi’, recently participated in Nasscom People Summit 2025 as a guest. “The Man Behind the Laughs: During the segment titled Siva Kartikeyan’s Rise from Small Screen to Silver Screen”, the ‘Amaran’ actor opened many aspects of his career, provided an insight into the life of an artist.

During the Q&A session with the audience, when one of them would like to make a sequel to their films, Shivakarthikeyan’s clear answer left the audience laughing. He said, “I am afraid of sequel because it should be a very good script and it should not spoil the success of the first part. So I am always scared, but I want to try ‘Mavran’s sequel’ because it was a unique script.”

Sivakarthikeyan’s 2023 film ‘Maaveeran’, directed by Madon Ashwin, was a fictional-action drama, which had a twist in his career. The film follows a timid cartoonist, who receives a mysterious internal voice that guides him to become a reluctant hero. The co-conclusion of Aditi Shankar and Messkin, the film earned praise for its inventable story and social comments. A commercial success, ‘Mavran’ earned more than Rs 80 crore worldwide.

‘Madarashi’ is directed by AR Murugados and marks the first cooperation of the actor with the blockbuster filmmaker. Touched to be an action-pack entertainer, the film is set in Chennai and is expected to showcase a more intense side of Shivrathi Kriti.

With the music composed by Anirudh Ravichender, the project has already discussed a large scale among fans and is scheduled to release in theaters on 5 September.

After ‘Madarashi’, Shivkartikeyan will be seen next time in Sudha Kongra’s film ‘Parasakthi’. The film also stars Srilela, Ravi Mohan and Atharva Murali in the lead roles.
