The NSE Nifty50 index fell 81.15 points to close at 25198.7, while BSE’s 30-share flagship Sensex lost 202.8 points to close at 82352.64.
Asian Paints Ltd.(2.44%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.88%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(1.69%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd.(1.26%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.18%). ), Ultratech Cement Ltd. (up 1.05%), Hero Motocorp Ltd. (up 0.66%), Divini Laboratories Ltd. (0.61%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (0.53%) and Reliance Industries Ltd. (up 0.36%) % ) was among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Wipro Ltd (down 3.16%), Coal India Ltd. (down 3.07%), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 2.43%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 1.79%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 1.27%), LTIMindtree Ltd (down 1.22%), Axis Bank Ltd (down 1.17%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (down 1.07%), State Bank of India (down 1.01 % below) and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 0.98%) closed in the red.
