After the recent formal puja ceremony, work on Mahesh Babu and director SS Rajamouli’s film SSMB29 is currently underway. Since Priyanka Chopra Jonas will play the lead role in this much-awaited film, the actress was seen heading to Hyderabad for the same.
In a recent video captured from the airport, we can see the actress coming out of the complex wearing a brown hoodie outfit. Priyanka also added charm to her look by wearing a yellow baseball cap.

The tentative name of the film is SSMB29 or SSRMB, which is considered to be a unique film to be made in India. The film is said to be a globe-trotting jungle adventure film starring superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role and Priyanka Chopra Jonas playing the female lead.
According to sources, actress and director SS Rajamouli was in the news for about six months, due to which the actress returned to Indian cinema after a gap of 5 months.
Made on a huge budget of Rs 900 – 1000 crore, this film is a two-part story, the shooting of which will start from April 2025. Pinkvilla had also reported this earlier and had said that the shooting of the film will continue till then. End of 2026 which will be possible in 2027 and 2029 respectively.
The film, SSMB29, features Mahesh Babu in a role said to be inspired by the Hindu mythological deity Hanuman. According to the film, the superstar has also adopted a bearded look for this.
Apart from the trio of Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and SS Rajamouli, many talented actors from across the world are expected to be a part of the project. However, the complete list of cast and crew is yet to be finalized.
Moving on, Mahesh Babu was last seen playing the lead role in the film Guntur Karam directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The actor also played a voice role in the Telugu version of the film Mufasa: The Lion King.
