Sonakshi Sinha, who married her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on June 23, spoke to IndiaToday.in about how she deals with the ups and downs of life. The actress said she draws inspiration from her father Shatrughan Sinha and how he dealt with hardships in life.

Sonakshi Sinha credits her parents for giving her the confidence to deal with failures. “I think it comes from my upbringing and seeing my father go through all his ups and downs,” the actress said.

He further added, “At the peak of his career, he completely changed his profession when he was an actor. He moved into politics and how he handled it. And he is a very calm person. I feel peace and stability from him. I also feel that the confidence that I have comes from him. I believe in myself and always have. For me, watching my father move forward on his journey teaches a lot.”

Sonakshi said that she doesn’t pay much attention to the outside noise, “I am confident of my abilities as an actor. I know I am here to work and do good work. And I know I do it well. I only want people to talk about my work. Everything else is a by-product of my profession. And I am not interested in that. I just want to do good work.”

Sonakshi was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Heeramandi’.
