Shah Rukh reveals the origin of his famous pose; why he loves making films with women
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently opened up about his career at the Locarno Film Festival. The actor spoke in detail about his favourite signature pose, why he loves working with women and more.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently opened up about his career in a wide-ranging interview held during the Locarno Film Festival. During the hour-long conversation, Shah Rukh opened up about the origin of his signature pose, making cinema with women and more.
When a fan asked how the famous ‘arms’ pose was created, Shah Rukh smiled and stood up to demonstrate the ‘dip’, a dance move that involves bending one leg and bouncing slightly with the other: “In the earlier days, we used to do the ‘dip’ as a part of the choreography, and I tried really hard to do it for the dance that I had to do, but that day, I was told that I looked bad doing it and this choreographer asked me to spread my arms, actually it’s nothing more than that.”

During the interview, the actor also talked about working with women and said that he likes working with them because they are more ‘sensitive’ and ‘they smell good.’
Shah Rukh Khan said, “I have worked with women, as actors, directors and producers, and I have found them to be more sensitive and nuanced. Men compartmentalise their emotions. Women are more comprehensive. Honestly, they make the films even better. I don’t want this to sound unfair, they smell nice. They shampoo, they laugh more and especially Farah Khan, she used to feed us really well and has a great sense of humour. Also, I am more in touch with my feminine side. I am not that interested in guns and action.”
Talking about work, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s film Donkey. After this, his next film is Sujoy Ghosh’s King, in which he will be seen sharing the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time.
