Sabrina Carpenter has shared a great bond with Taylor Swift over the years. However, that is not the case with the latter and Kim Kardashian. In a conversation with Variety, the singer clarified that keeping personal matters aside, she would not need permission from the Grammy Award winner to work with Kardashian to advertise her clothing brand.
In the interview, the Espresso singer claimed that Swift handled every inconvenience gracefully. Furthermore, the musician revealed that she considers the Midnights singer her best friend. “The post about me ‘asking her permission’ — no. She’s one of my best friends, and we have dinner or text and see each other like you would with your best friend,” Carpenter told the media portal.
The singer said, “He is like a gangster. No matter what people say, whatever I have seen him do, he has done it with great dignity.”
Carpenter performed with Swift during her Eras Tour concert in Sydney. While the Please, Please, Please singer was supposed to open for the pop icon, she got to sing verses of White Horse and Coney Island instead. The singer also appeared in a Skims ad where the musician advertised a collection of underwear and shapewear. The 25-year-old singer had previously approached the Anti-Hero singer about doing ads for Kardashian.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and the TV personality have been at loggerheads ever since the Kardashian sibling’s marriage to rapper Joe West ended. The singer clearly doesn’t seem to be on the same page with the former couple.
Speaking about her relationship with Swift, Carpenter told Rolling Stones, “As much as people want to believe that you’re paying attention to every little thing, I don’t believe that because I’m constantly working. In that scenario, I’ve been very, very communicative with her about that situation, and I love her very much and support her to the end.”
She further added, “So it wasn’t a weird thing for me, but I know people will just say things because that’s all they have time to do.” On the work front, Sabrina Carpenter ruled the charts with the release of Please, Please, Please. Also, her next album, Short N Sweet, will hit music platforms on August 23.
