According to reports, Star Wars: Starfighter will be released in theaters on May 28, 2027. The major announcement was made by Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, who was present in Tokyo with Chief Creative Officer Dave Philoni at the annual star Wars festival.
According to a press release, the latest outing at Star Wars franchise will be about five years after the 2019 Star Wars events: the episode IX-Skyvocker emerged.
Star Wars: Starfighter is being described as a “completely new adventure”, which will also introduce all new characters that will be seen in a period that has not yet been discovered.

Creating a grand appearance on the stage of Star Wars Celebration, Ryan Gosling, actor of Blade Runner 2049, said, “Being here and seeing all of you (to do it) makes it more inspiring.”

Meanwhile, even Sean Levi shared his views, stating that the film is not a prequel or even sequel; This is going to be a whole new story.
The outing will be released after Mandalorians and Gruth, which is ready for premiere on 22 May, 2026.
