Kannada actor Rishabh Shetty, who created a stir with his film Kantara in 2022, is happy to receive a National Ward for it. The actor, who was among other stars attending the IIFA Utsavam in Abu Dhabi on September 27, shared his feelings behind the win and how it has inspired him to work harder.
Rishabh Shetty won Best Actor Award for his performance At the 70th National Film Awards in Kantara.
Speaking to India Today Digital about the win, the actor said, “I never let excitement or expectations overshadow my work. Whenever I present my work to the audience, the love I get is entirely because of them; It’s like a feather in my cap. Winning a National Award fills me with immense prideThis is a significant honor, and I feel a deep sense of responsibility to strive for excellence and make even better films.”
The actor further said that the shooting of Kantara 2 is currently going on.
The Kannada actor also won the award for Outstanding Excellence in Kannada Cinema at the IIFA Utsavam.
Talking about work front, Rishabh Shetty is busy these days. Shooting for his upcoming film, Kantara: Chapter 1, Which is the prequel to the hit film of 2022. According to reports, the film is expected to release in theaters in early 2025. Official confirmation is still awaited.
