Actor Ravi Kishan, who was last seen in Kiran Rao’s Missing Ladies and has over 400 Bhojpuri films to his credit, recalls being a victim of casting couch in the early days of his career. “When you’re young, some people try to take advantage of you,” the 55-year-old actor revealed.

On Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Kishan was asked whether men also have to face this problem like women. This happens not just in films, but in many fields. It happens. They try their hand and hope it works.”

Recalling his experience, the actor further said, “I have faced many such attacks in my youth. I was thin, I had long hair, I wore earrings.” However, Kishan advised aspiring actors to avoid shortcuts to success, saying, “I would like to tell everyone that there are no shortcuts to success. I know many people who have tried taking such shortcuts And he is extremely remorseful for it.” “They have fallen into addictions, or taken their own lives.”

The actor, who started his career with Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan, stressed the importance of patience and hard work. “I have never seen anyone become a star through shortcuts. Wait for your time to come, be patient. I would tell myself that one day the sun will rise for me. All my friends in the 90s—Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan—they were superstars. Got it, but I waited for my time,” Kishan said.

In 2024, Ravi Kishan not only impressed with his character of a police inspector in Missing Ladies but also won the hearts of fans with his performance in the Netflix comedy series Mamla Legal Hai.
