The Hema Committee report has revealed many details about the dire conditions faced by actresses in Malayalam cinema. Now, superstar Rajinikanth has also commented on it, saying that he does not know anything about it.

At a recent press conference in Chennai, the superstar was asked about his views on the Me Too allegations being levelled in the Malayalam cinema industry. Avoiding getting involved in the controversy, the actor simply said, “I don’t know…I don’t know anything about it. Sorry.”

Many actors and actresses from various sections of the industry have come forward to share their opinions and talk about the sexual abuse they faced in the industry. Many prominent Malayalam actors including Jayasurya, Siddique, Mukesh have been accused of such allegations and cases have been filed against them.

In response to the allegations against him, Jayasuriya made an official response via his social media handles, in which he vowed to fight the allegations legally.

The actor wrote in the statement, “Due to my personal commitments, I and my family have been in the US for the last one month and during this time two false allegations were made against me on the basis of sexual harassment. My legal team will look into the remaining proceedings related to this case.”

The actor also added, “Thank you to those who contributed to making this birthday the most painful. Let those who have not sinned throw stones; but only at those who have sinned.”

Moreover, amid the growing controversy against the leading actors, the actors’ association called AMMA has resigned en masse. Mohanlal, who served as the president of the association, has decided to step down from the post and make way for the new management.

Moreover, Mammootty too has recently released his official statement accepting the Hema committee report and clarified that no powerful group is controlling the industry.
