Known for his unique voice, Mangay Khan helped spread Rajasthani folk music around the world. He belonged to the Manganiyar community of Rajasthan. His music is a blend of Sufi, Rajasthani folk and Hindustani classical music dating back to the time of traditional court musicians who performed for Muslim rulers in North India.
