He also revealed that the script for the next sequel of Gangaajal is in the works and he is considering making a film on the life of Sunanda Pushkar.

Prakash Jha is making a comeback into the world of acting with the film Amar Aaj Marega directed by Rajat Kariya. His film recently premiered at the International Film Festival of India, Goa. During the event, he sat down for a chat with India Today and shared some interesting information about his upcoming films, including the sequels to Raajneeti and Gangaajal.

When asked about his desire to re-release his films amid the trend of re-releasing old films, the filmmaker ruled out the possibility and said that fans who have watched his films have talked about watching it multiple times. Have accepted. He shared, “I come across people who say they have watched Gangajal 40-50 times, so I don’t think there is any need to release it in theaters again.”

Additionally, he shared some latest information about the making of the sequel of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Raajneeti and Ajay Devgan starrer Gangaajal. He said, “We are working on Raajneeti 2, its script is being written. We are also working on the Gangajal sequel and its script is also being written.”

He explained how the audience still liked the “police society dynamics” and admitted that he often used influences. Jha also shared his desire to make a film on Sunanda Pushkar, which according to him, is an ‘interesting subject’ that has the potential to make an interesting film. Although he did not share much information about it, fans always wait for a treat with these gorgeous movies.

The filmmaker, who is all set to return to the screen, admitted that he was feeling a different excitement as an actor while promoting his film. He admitted that he only focuses on acting and does not interfere in any scene as a filmmaker. Jha is looking for roles that challenge him and are important to a film.
