Actress Priyanka Chopra remembered her late father Captain Dr Ashok Chopra on his 11th death anniversary on June 10. She shared a montage that features some of her old pictures with her father and called him the ‘light of every room’ in the caption.
On Monday, Priyanka paid tribute to her father on social media, writing, “The light of every room. You are still our brightest light Papa. It’s been 11 years without you and it still doesn’t feel real. Thinking of you today and every day. I love you. Forever. Hold your loved ones close and let them know you love them. Time can be short.

Dr. Ashok Chopra battled cancer for a long time and passed away in 2013 at the age of 62.
Recently, Priyanka appeared on the Read the Room podcast, where she talked about her father’s death. She said, “After my father passed away, I slowly but steadily came to the conclusion that this kind of pain will never go away. It is your companion. So, if you are thinking or waiting for the day when this pain will start to subside, when it will not affect you anymore or when you will get over it. You will never get over it; it will become your companion.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Priyanka Chopra is currently shooting for her upcoming film ‘The Bluff’ in Australia. Apart from this, she will also be seen in the Hollywood film ‘Heads of State’, starring Idris Elba and John Cena alongside her.
