OnePlus 13R: what to expect

The OnePlus 13R features a 6.78-inch flat BOE X2 display with a 1.5K resolution, featuring an LTPO panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, it will run on Android 15-based OxygenOS 15, ensuring a high-performance experience straight out of the box.

The device will include an optical fingerprint sensor and have a triple-camera setup at the back, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. Unlike the OnePlus 13, the 13R may not have Hasselblad branding for its cameras. To enhance gaming performance, it is expected to feature a next-generation cooling chamber.

According to the latest rumor, the battery capacity of the OnePlus 13R is estimated to be 6200mAh, which is slightly larger than the 6000mAh battery in the OnePlus 13. The device will support 100W fast charging, mirroring the capabilities of the OnePlus 12R. In terms of durability, the OnePlus 13R will have an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, unlike the OnePlus 13, which is expected to offer both IP68 and IP69 ratings.

Overall, the OnePlus 13R is shaping up to be a powerful and versatile device that caters to users looking for flagship-level performance and features without the premium branding extras. However, we advise you to take this information with a grain of salt, as nothing is official yet.

OnePlus 13: What’s coming in January?

The OnePlus 13 is set to bring major advancements over the OnePlus 12, especially in performance. It will debut Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which will set a new standard for speed and efficiency. It is expected that this will be the second phone with this chip after the Realme GT7 Pro to be launched on November 26.

OnePlus continues to shine in battery performance and charging technology, and the OnePlus 13 is no exception. Reports suggest that the device will feature a robust 6,000mAh battery, which will offer a significant increase from the 5,400mAh capacity of its predecessor. This upgrade ensures longer battery life and meets the needs of users demanding an on-the-go lifestyle. The charging capabilities are equally impressive, with the phone expected to support 50W wireless charging as well as ultra-fast 100W wired charging, providing users with versatile and efficient recharging options.

The current specifications are based on the OnePlus 13 Chinese edition launched on October 31. Although official details are yet to be unveiled, it is most likely to be copied from the Indian version.
