Not ozmpic, not mounas. Karan Johar’s mystery of weight loss is an Omad diet. But…

A brief name for ‘One Meal A Day’, the Omad diet is an extreme form of intermittent fasting where you consume only one food a day.

Karan Johar’s ‘One Meal A Day’ diet has discussed online.

Not ozmpic, not Munjaro – it was an Omad diet that helped Karan Johar with changes in his weight loss. The filmmaker revealed his weight loss secret in an interview earlier this month, and since then, the word “Omad Diet” has been discussing a lot on the Internet.

A brief name for ‘One Meal A Day’, the Omad diet is an extreme form of intermittent fasting where you consume only one food a day. The idea is to consume the calorie intake of the day at a time within the one -hour window.

Karan Johar revealed that the reason behind his weight loss was the discovery that he needed to fix his blood levels. With medicine, he focused on eating a meal a day. He shared that he was following a strict omad (a meal in a day) diet.

Along with this diet, due to many lifestyle changes, the filmmaker has not only reduced a significant weight, but has also been said that he is in pink color of health and has never felt better.

If it wants you to embrace an omad diet immediately, then hold. This can help you lose those extra kilos, but it can also cause many lifetime health issues.

How Omad Diet works

“A meal a day (OMAD) diet is an extreme form of intermittent fasting. The idea is that the body, after receiving a large food, enters a long -term fasting state that potentially increases metabolism, triggers fat burning, and reduces insulin levels, which is the lead to weight loss,” health care.

Since it is just a meal, it is designed to make it extremely nutritious and balanced.

Priyanka, a senior dietist at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi, says that an omd-diet food is more in protein, includes healthy fats, provides complex carbohydrates, and is also rich in fiber.

  • Lean meat, tofu or legumes
  • Avocado, nuts for healthy fats
  • Quinoa or brown rice for complex carbs
  • Vegetables and fruits for fiber

The size of the part is larger than a regular food which is usually consumed in a day. Additionally, this Omad diet food does not include processed foods.

It is usually recommended to consume this one meal between 4 to 7 pm. Finally, it is a doctor, as well as a dietist, who prepares the plan according to a person’s routine and preferences.

For water, it can be consumed throughout the day. Stay hydrated, after all, is important. One can also sink green tea or other herbal tea (without sugar).

Omad diet and weight loss

But does this diet really help lose weight? The answer is yes, but not without some complications.

Here is described how this diet helps in losing weight: “The body enters a fasting state, causing a long-term calorie deficit. Insulin levels fall. Insulin levels fall, resulting in ketosis. The body acts as a fat-fuel system. Part control is naturally applied, the entire calorie intake is reduced.

But here is the grip – it is unstable in the long period. This can lead to muscle loss, metabolic recession and nutritional deficiencies.

You can’t ignore risks

Dr. Malhotra says, “There is a risk of nutrient deficiency (protein, vitamins and trace elements), muscle loss, and decreased metabolic rate. Continuous observation can affect overall health and body function,” Dr. Malhotra says.

“Some people may initially experience side effects such as fatigue, headache, or changes in mood. It can also affect hormones and muscles when long running without guidance,” says Nidhi Sahai, Dietician, Max Super Specialty Hospital, Vari, New Delhi.

Don’t go ‘Omad’ without consulting a doctor

Since the OMAD diet is extremely restrictive and extreme in nature, it should not be done without consulting a doctor. Health experts may ask you to undergo some blood tests and help you with a plan accordingly.

This type of rigid dietary patterns should be avoided especially with health issues such as diabetes, kidney diseases, liver function abnormalities and heart issues. Even pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid strictly.

The much awaited ‘one meal a day’ diet is not a permanent long -term solution. This requires a proper exit plan and continuous supervision by a health specialist. In short, while the OMAD approach can offer rapid weight loss, it is neither balanced nor suitable for long -term use.
