Happy Navratri 2024! Navratri is a nine-day festival celebrated to pray to the nine forms of Goddess Durga. The hallmark of festivals is going to fairs, Garba nights, roaming in pandals and observing fasts. If you are familiar with Navratri fast, then you would know all the common dishes like Aloo-Peanut Chaat, Sabudana Khichdi, Kuttu Ki Puri etc. But what if we tell you that you can enjoy your favorite momos even while fasting? Yes, you read that right. By replacing flour with sago, you can make delicious pakodas that include everything Fast-Friendly content. Wait, there’s more! These momos are purple in color and look no less than any fancy food. The recipe was shared by chef Neha Deepak Shah on Instagram and has gone viral with over 20 million views.

how to make Fast ones Sabudana Momos | Navratri-Special Momos Recipe

To make these simple and delicious momos, you will need 1 cup sago, 1 cup water and some butterfly blue pea flowers (Aparajita) for the blue-violet color. To get blue color, first boil butterfly blue pea flowers in water. Use this water to soak sago. Keep in mind that keep the sago soaked for a long time so that it becomes soft.

For the filling, mix well crumbled paneer with finely chopped chillies, grated ginger, chopped coriander, rock salt (rock salt) and black pepper.

Now mash the soaked sago and knead the dough. Mash it well to get the desired texture of flour. Now flatten the dough pieces, put a small ball of cheese filling in it and wrap the dough around it. Steam the momos for about 10 minutes. Garnish with coriander oil prepared using coriander, chilli, oil and rock salt. Add some crushed peanuts and pomegranate seeds on top. Your Navratri momos are ready! You can also serve it with Fast-Adapted peanut chutney.
