Romantic comedy Nadaniyan started Ibrahim Ali Khan. The film, which was released on Netflix, was not well received by the audience. Ibrahim recently shared his opinion about whether the film was ‘Perfect Debut’ for him. He revealed that he wanted a ‘commercial’ big screen launch, but believed that he was not theaters he had earlier.
In a recent conversation with Filmfare, Ibrahim Ali Khan was asked if he felt that Nadaniyan was the right beginning for him. In response, he said that before his debut, he worked with Karan Johar on Rocky and Rani’s Prem Kahani. He shared that he loved the filmmaker very much and respected him. Ibrahim said that Karan gave him ‘such a good stage’ with Nadaniyan. He was grateful to the latter for believing and guiding him.
The actor further expressed that he wished for a grand dramatic launch. He said, “Yes, I wanted to launch a commercial, grand, theater, Mein Setty Marne Vala.
Ibrahim Ali Khan believed that everything depended on the director and the material in today’s time. To take the names of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, he said that he did not think there would be stars like him at any time. Ibrahim mentioned, “It doesn’t just work how it worked in the 80s and in the 90s, when these people would only stand in front of the camera and the movies would be a hit.”
He said that it is difficult for today’s actors to do this kind of craze. Ibrahim further said that not one star but one ‘no one.’ He thought that his work would have to be spoken to him. “I like to be an actor and the concept of doing good work, which is important in 2025,” he said.
Ibrahim concluded by saying that a famous star can act as a bad script in the past but it is no longer that way.
Ibrahim Ali Khan will appear next time in the Action Thriller Sarzman.
