Singer Monali Thakur issued an official statement on Thursday dismissing reports that she was admitted to hospital after suffering from breathing problems during a concert. The 39-year-old singer shared a long note on her social media account, in which she thanked her fans for their concern and said that she is fine, and it is just a case of ‘flu relapse.

Monali’s statement termed the news of her hospitalization as ‘unverified’. She revealed that she had gone to seek medical attention after her performance because she was suffering from migraine and ‘severe sinusitis’.

The statement read, “Dear media and all those concerned about my health, I hope you are doing well. I am writing to request you not to share any unverified news about my health. I really appreciate everyone’s love and concern, but I want to clarify that I have no breathing problems and have not been admitted to any hospital.

“I have been feeling unwell recently due to not having enough time to recover from a viral infection/flu which has led to a relapse and some severe sinus and migraine troubles and pain on flights. That’s all I am back now, undergoing treatment in Mumbai, taking rest and will be fine in no time.”
