Meta is allegedly working with Ray-Ban on the next-round smart glass for launch in 2026. With new smart glasses, meta is likely to integrate advanced AI features such as facial identification.

Meta shows some big ambitions for its next generation smart glasses, which she has created in collaboration with Ray-Ban. The company allegedly wants to make its AI glasses more intelligent with facilities such as face detection and allows longer for live AI. According to a report by the information, the company is working on two pairs of smart glasses, internal and Belini has been codained, which will offer hand -free AI assistants and more smart features.
According to the report, Meta is working to release its next generation smart glasses in 2026 and for this, the company is discussing the software called “Super-SNING” Vision. The new software will allow AI smart glasses to scan and read the environment for better assistance. The upcoming glasses are also asked to offer extended hours of live AI functionality, which is currently available for only 30 minutes. This feature allows users to interact with Meta AI in real -time interaction with voice commands.
The report suggests that the future purpose for Meta’s AI glasses is to allow the weareble, understand and even remember the user’s environment – almost acting like a visual memory aid. This functionality may include characteristics such as the house keys, your car, or even identifying familiar objects of people of the surrounding people. With anticipated characteristics such as facial identification, AI can potentially identify individuals and display its name based on already stored information.
While the idea of a camera-powered memory assistant looks as promising and future, it also revives chronic concerns around privacy and monitoring. Reports suggest that internal discussions of the meta include whether the standard camera is to keep the indicator – mainly when a blinking LED – is active when facial identification is in use. The company allegedly does not want to shut down this indicator, and disabled this signal during super-sensing mode may raise questions about transparency, especially since the buyers may be unaware that they are being scanned. However, the meta can possibly control users when and how to use face-tracking facility.
Beyond the glasses, the Meta’s roadmap consists of a comprehensive family for AI-managed wear. According to reports, the meta plan to incorporate facial recognition techniques can also expand other equipment, such as an AI-equipped earphone-like-like-such as the company, that the company plans to expand its ecosystem and make a mutual relationship.
Meanwhile, Meta’s Ray-Ban Glass has been launched in India for Rs 29,900. The devices have been slated to hit the store on 19 May. Smart AI is an ultra-wide 12-megapixel camera and five-MIC system. This allows users to take high quality photos and videos and can immediately share them on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
