Malayalam TV actor Dilip Shankar was found dead in a hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram. The actor was in the city to shoot for an ongoing serial. According to the makers, he last came to the set two days ago.

According to the makers, there was a break in the shooting and Dileep then stayed in a hotel to rejoin the sets. His colleagues mentioned that he was suffering from some health problems. Police have started investigation.

The hotel staff found his body after a foul smell came from the room.

Dileep, known for his roles in popular TV serials like Ammayariyathe and Panchaagni, was not seen leaving his room during his stay. Authorities are investigating the cause of his death, although initial reports indicate no foul play.
