Rocco Richie rejected NEPO Baby Label despite being the son of pop icon Madonna and famous director Gai Richie. The 24-year-old artist spoke to the Fantastic Man magazine for his latest issue and shared his cruel honest opinion on nepotism.
Roco, who has organized six exhibitions till date, believes that he has made his career despite being a famous parents. When he entered the art industry, he kept his identity private using the surname Red. He later released the name Pseudo in 2022 and held an art exhibition in London the following year.
“I always feel that it is fun that back in the day, some of the most beautiful cathedrals that were ever made anytime, were built by the generation after generation of the same family,” he said.
However, he believes that this generation’s Napo infants also cannot be said to be the same. “They are not the most interesting bunch, are they?” He said. Rokko also rejected the label relationship with him, claiming that he never felt a “comfortable” mixture with a elite crowd.
He liked the company of skateboardrs at South Bank, London with privileged circles. He felt more easily to hang out with the local people and remembered that time as a few best days of his life.
For upper -class people, they never found them interesting. Roko recalled his paintings for being “very manpana” by Roco, exiting the prestigious London Art School Central St. Martins.
He revealed that the art teacher intended to call the painting vulgar, causing him disagree. He said, “I was 18 years old, Shitty Lugter was doing painting; My work was not developed enough for anyone, yet to make opinion on it,” he said.
However, he felt at home after shifted to the Royal Drawing School in Shoreditch and eventually went out of his family’s house. Madonna and Richie, who tied the knot in 2000, separated after eight years of marriage, also shared a 19 -year -old son, David Banda, who was adopted in 2006 from an orphanage in Malawi.
