Khaman Dhokla is a popular Gujarati snack made using besan (chickpea flour). Unlike regular dhokla, this dhokla batter does not include fermented rice. Khaman Dhokla is lighter and softer in texture than regular dhokla. It does not take much time to make and can be eaten as an evening snack.

Khaman Dhokla Recipe: How To Make Khaman Dhokla
To make this dhokla, you just need a few basic ingredients that you will easily find in your kitchen pantry. First, add curd and lukewarm water to a bowl and mix well. Keep it aside. Now, take another bowl and add the gram flour and prepared curd mixture to it. Mix well and make sure there are no lumps. Next, add hing, sugar, chopped green chilies, oil and salt. Lastly, add fruit salt and mix everything together. Pour the dhokla batter into an oil-coated plate and place it over a pan filled with water. Cover it with a lid and let it steam for about 10-15 minutes. Once done, give it a tempering of dry red chilies, mustard seeds, curry leaves, cumin seeds and oil. Khaman Dhokla is ready to eat.
