Missing Ladies director Kiran Rao recently spoke about how she and her ex-husband, actor Aamir Khan, took their time to decide about divorce. “I think relationships need to be redefined from time to time because we grow up and change as humans. We need different things and I thought this (divorce) would make me happy and honestly, it has made me very happy,” Kiran said. The Faye D’Souza Show,

She further added, “Before Aamir, I was single for a very long time. I really enjoyed my independence. I was lonely, but now I have Azad (his son), so I am not lonely. I think loneliness is the only thing that most people are a little worried about after getting divorced or losing their partner. I haven’t felt lonely at all. In fact, I have the support of both families, his family and my family. So, really, it has been all good things. It has been a very happy divorce.”
