The much awaited trailer of Kesari Chapter 2 was released on 3 April, presenting a glimpse of the story of one of the most important legal battles in India. The film, inspired by True events, delays the fight for justice after Jalianwala Bagh massacre and a lawyer of the Indian National Congress and former president C Shankaran Nair.
Akshay Kumar plays the role of Shankaran Nair, depicting his terrible determination, as he faces Colonel Raginald Dyer, is responsible for the British officer genocide, which claimed to have killed hundreds of people in 1919. The trailer introduced Ananya Pandey as Dilrata Gill, a female barrister, which is included in her search for truth. The trailer addressed as ‘a talent’.

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film claims a contingent of a stellar actors and is supported by a team of famous producers, including Hiru Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Aruna Bhatia and Adar Poonwala. The screenplay prepared by Tyagi and Amritpal Singh Bindra promises a recreational court room drama with history, courage and flexibility.
With its intense performance and a riveting story, Kesari chapter 2 is ready to bring an untold chapter of India’s struggle against colonial oppression.
The film comes to theaters on 18 April.
