Karthi’s upcoming Tamil film ‘Maiyazhagan’ has finally got a release date. The actor’s 27th film is set to release in theatres on September 27.
Karthi’s upcoming film ‘Maiyazhagan’ is all set to release in theatres on September 27. The makers announced it with a new poster on July 17.
The official production house of the film, 2D Entertainment, shared the announcement poster on their official X handle and wrote, “A wonderful journey filled with celebratory moments awaits. Can’t wait for you all to witness the deepest emotions on September 27th #MeiyazhaganFromSep27 #Meiyazhagan (sic).”

Karthi’s ‘Maiyazhagan’ will clash with Jr NTR’s ‘Devra’ on September 27.
‘Maiyazhagan’ is directed by Prem Kumar, who is known for directing the acclaimed romantic drama ’96’ starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha.
Apart from Karthi, ‘Maiyazhagan’ also stars Arvind Swamy, Sri Divya, Karunakaran, Rajkiran, Jayaprakash and Swathi Konde. It is produced by Karthi’s brother Surya and Jyothika. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Mahendran Jayaraju and Govind Vasantha has composed the music. Govindaraj is its editor.
The film is a family drama and marks Karthi’s first collaboration with filmmaker Prem Kumar.
