Kannappa: In the first look, Akshay Kumar is seen as Lord Shiva with trident and damru.
Actor Akshay Kumar appears as Lord Shiva in Vishnu Manchu’s pan-Indian mythological film, Kannappa. The actor exudes strength and power in his first look as the Hindu deity.
The makers of Kannappa on Monday released the first look of actor Akshay Kumar from the film. The actor, dressed in white on the poster, looks sincere as he impersonates a Hindu deity. dhotiand carrying sacred Shiva symbols, including a trident (trishul) and a Damru (Small hand drum).
This is the second time when Akshay will be seen playing the character of Lord Shiva on screen. Before this, she played a role in the Pankaj Tripathi-starrer Oh My God 2. The actor’s blue throat, which represents Shiva carrying poison in his throat, is visible on the poster of Kannappa.
The poster also further has a line describing the strength and power of Shiva. It read, “The Supreme Lord, who rules over the three worlds, devotes himself to pure devotion.”

Kannappa is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and stars actor Vishnu Manchu in the lead role. The film is about Kannappa, one of the biggest devotees of Lord Shiva. It also stars Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Kajal Aggarwal along with R Sarathkumar, Preeti Mukundan, Arput Ranka, Kaushal Manda and Devaraj.
The film is being made on a big budget and will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English. Produced by Vishnu’s father and famous actor Mohan Babu, the film will release in theaters on April 25.
