But yes, after Deepika’s exit, the makers are looking at Sai to play the character of SUM-80. They feel she will be perfect for the role.”

Meanwhile, SUM-80, the film’s main laboratory subject set in a dystopian future, is pregnant and tries to escape the complex. The first film featured actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani. After its successful performance at the box office, it grossed over Rs. 1000 crores and breaking records, excitement for the sequel was at its peak until the leading lady decided to walk out of the project.
It has been reported that the producers and Deepika Padukone parted ways over the actress’ demand to stick to 8-hour shifts on the sets and her requirements for her team.
