Recently, the actress spoke in detail about her decision. In addition, he also denied the claims of Sunny Deol’s Gadar offer for the role of Sakina, which was eventually played by Amisha Patel.
Speaking at the News18 Rising Test Summit 2025, Kajol dismissed all speculation and revealed that he was never offered Ghadar for Sakina’s part. “Gadar was not introduced to me. It was a rumor,” he clarified.
The actress admitted that she was offered many other films, which she rejected for different reasons. Without naming any film, he revealed that those films were made, some of which were successful while others were not. However, he insisted that no one could do what he has done.
In addition, he also talked about his ‘conscious decision’ not to use his last name. He said that he did so to avoid the pressure of his family’s legacy.
