Jonathan Majors lands first role since domestic abuse case and Disney exit
Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors has landed his first major role since being convicted in a domestic abuse case.
Controversial Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors has landed his first major project after pleading guilty to domestic abuse and undergoing counselling for a year for his misdeed.
Jonathan has landed an important role in Martin Villeneuve’s film Merciless, brother of filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. The director himself confirmed this news to Variety. Known as a revenge thriller, Merciless will once again see Majors in action on screen.
After news of his domestic assault surfaced, Majors lost multiple projects and was eventually fired from Disney, where he was playing the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s main antagonist, Kang the Conqueror.
Majors has been sentenced to a year of in-home counseling for assaulting his ex-wife. The actor will have to complete 52 weeks of in-person sessions in Los Angeles.
Majors previously denied physically assaulting his former teammate.
Jonathan Majors is known for his roles in projects such as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Creed III, and Lovecraft Country.
