Justin Bieber has been allegedly removing himself from friends for a long time, and some believe that his church may play a big role. According to TMZ’s new documentary, TMZ Investigates: What happened to Justin Bieber?, Which is now streaming on Hulu, some former Bieber’s former friends feel that he participates in Churchom, a Beverly Hills Church, and his pastor, Judah Smith.
Bieber’s Inner Circle is now one of the prominent people, Ryan Good, who was the best man in Bieber’s wedding and a creative director at his fashion brand Drew House. Sources in TMZ claim that the Good Left Churchom declined after it believed that it had a cult -like symptoms. According to the documentary, Bieber and Pastor Judah faced well about their personal options, including his S*X life.
He allegedly faced Bieber’s former manager Scooter Braun, who is Jew, not to believe in Jesus. These incidents have expressed concern about how much the church can control Bieber’s life.
Churchom pastor Judah Smith responded to the claims of the cult with humor during a recent speech. “If we are a creed, we are the worst creed in history,” Smith said. “We meet once a month, friends!” He jokingly said, “I stopped doing so every Wednesday. We should be better on it.”
Smith also shared that he was recently approached by Paprazi who asked him directly whether Churchom is a cult. “This is the first time for me,” he said. “I got out of my car and were immediately surrounded by paparaji … A woman turned to me and asked: ‘So is it a cult or not?”
Churchom has previously faced criticism. In 2023, the church was sued by an employee who claimed that he needed to return 10% of his gross income to the church. The lawsuit raised questions about the organization’s internal policies, although the result is still not clear.
Bieber addressed the growing speculation on Instagram last month. He wrote, “The spirit of crime can be relieved … not going to the church or reading the Bible. But just forgive that God.”
