Amaran director Rajkumar Periyasamy recently met actor-turned-politician Vijay, who congratulated him on the success of his film. Rajkumar shared two pictures of himself with Thalapathy Vijay, one from their recent meeting and the other taken twelve years ago while working as an assistant director on Vijay-starrer Kaththi. He wrote an emotional caption highlighting his fanboy moment.

The post shared on X was captioned, “I love you Vijay sir! Thank you! I pray for you every day! God bless you! (sic).” He gave an exact time interval between the two pictures he uploaded, saying, “12 Varusham (years) 2 Maas (months) 1 Naal (hour) 15 Mani (minutes) Neram (time) This is taken from the second picture ! (sic)”. The caption echoes director Amaran’s admiration for the Tamil cinema superstar, although Rajkumar did not provide any details about what happened during his meeting with Vijay.
