Internet sensation Ori aka Orhan Awatramani often delights his Instagram followers with quirky posts. In particular, it’s his food-related posts that leave us entertained and shocked at the same time. On Sunday, September 1, Ori showed his creativity by giving his Insta-fam a glimpse of his nature-inspired artwork. He revealed he collects flowers, leaves, salad dressings, and fruits to create art. But his illustrations come with a twist. After completing the realistic paintings, Ori “destroys” them completely, claiming that the process acts as therapy. “Please support me, my art, and young artists,” reads his caption.

In the clip, Ori explains, “One thing I want to tell you guys about myself is that I like to create artworks that can be destroyed. Every time I leave the house, I collect small pieces of nature to create detailed paintings without using any tape glue. What you see here is just balance. Once I have the finished piece, and I like it, I take a photo before I wipe it off.” The video shows Ori creating the artwork using basil leaves, spinach leaves, and dried lavender, as well as other natural elements like petals, leaves, plants, and pebbles. The creation also features a crescent moon made of lemons.
“I call it ‘Bonfire on a Moonlit Night.’ While the original artwork is temporary, the photo allows me to make prints to fund my lifestyle. And you might ask why I destroy my work. Because it’s therapeutic and because eventually it will all wilt and fade. And so I return the work to Mother Nature,” Ori says. So far, the post has been viewed over 4 million times.
