While travelling to another city, foodies love to check out the local places, famous restaurants and famous street food spots. If one is spending a limited time in a place, it can be difficult to decide which places to visit and which to skip. This is a foodie dilemma that many of us can relate to, including Jonty Rhodes. The South African cricket coach was recently in Bengaluru, one of the most buzzing gastronomic hubs in India. He was curious to explore the food scene in the city and came to an important realisation.

Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, he wrote, “Bengaluru has some of the best places to eat, so much so that it’s often hard to decide which restaurant to visit. Sometimes, just going there on a whim is enough.” He also added a hashtag that read, “#eatlocal”. In the photo that accompanied the caption, Jonty is seen posing in a simple restaurant. The thali in front of him has chapati, curd and some kind of dal or curry. Take a look below:

“Come to Hyderabad, I will show you what heaven is when it comes to food. Respect.”

“Please taste Gujarati food Sir.”

“Same thing in Mumbai @jontyrhodes8… from 10 Rupee Vada Pav on the street to Indian Thaalis and amazing restaurants.”

Earlier, Jonty Rhodes had also posted about eating out in Mumbai last month. He wrote, “The best thing about Mumbai is that it has so many great places to eat.” He visited a cafe in Bandra, which he called “a delicious place”. Check out his post below:
