It’s almost unsettling to hear Idris Elba’s great, growling voice coming out of the computer-generated tiger as Shere Khan in the live action version of this classic. Elba’s performance as Shere Khan in The Jungle Book was a terrifying but charming villain. Sher Khan’s screen time with Neel Sethi’s character Mowgli was full of tension and suspense. Of course, it was very satisfying to see the character’s end after a series of mysteries.

1. Brixton – Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

The best role on this list definitely goes to his villainous role as Brixton in the Fast and Furious spin-off. The character was enhanced with cybernetic methods. Elba’s exceptional performance was one of the best characters on show. He has the necessary physicality and charm to go up against Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. His encounters with these two can be action-packed and fun, creating an engaging story until his final end.

Idris Elba is celebrating another year of his life, but his level of influence and contribution to the world of entertainment is unlikely to diminish. His versatility in playing any role makes the portrayal of the characters even more profound. He was once considered one of the best actors of his generation.
