Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is set to plead guilty to a second crime, this time for bringing a gun into a bar. We already know that Hannah, the weapons manufacturer on the set of Alec Baldwin’s ill-fated film Rust, was sentenced to 18 months in prison in April after she was found guilty of loading real bullets, rather than dummies, into the actor’s prop gun. Her terrible mistake killed the film’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
According to Variety, the incident took place at the Matador Bar in Santa Fe, New Mexico on October 1, 2021, three weeks before the Rust accident.
Gutierrez-Reed could have been sentenced to an additional 18 months in prison in the case, but instead will have to serve the same period of supervised probation from his home in Arizona. His defense argued in court that the charge was an attempt to pressure him to plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter, which he has denied.

Baldwin was also tried for involuntary manslaughter, but the charge against him was dropped in July after the judge found that prosecutors had concealed key evidence from the defense. Gutierrez-Reed’s attorneys are seeking to have his murder charge dismissed on similar grounds. His motion for a new trial in the case is scheduled for Sept. 26. The defense is also requesting that he be released from jail while he awaits the outcome of the new trial.
Since his acquittal, Baldwin has posted a message on social media thanking those who supported him and showed kindness to his family. Jeremy Renner and Ricky Martin were among the many celebrities who sent well wishes to the actor as he celebrated the end of his years-long legal battle.
The actor is now set to start a new chapter with his family as he is set to star in a TLC reality show with his wife and seven kids. The show will showcase the family’s everyday life, just like the Kardashians.
