The nominees for the 2026 Golden Globes were announced on December 8. For back-to-back fights and TV, HBO’s White Lotus garnered maximum nominations.

The race for the 2026 Golden Globes has officially begun. Actors Skye P. Marshall and Marlon Wayans unveiled the nominations on December 8, setting the stage for one of Hollywood’s biggest awards nights.
This year’s edition features 28 categories, including a newly introduced annual honor for Best Podcast, marking the Globes’ continued expansion into emerging storytelling formats.
The 83rd Golden Globe Awards will take place on Sunday, January 11, 2026, with comedian Nikki Glaser returning as host after her successful stint in 2025. The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+, promising a star-packed evening for a global audience.
Warner Bros. one fight after another continued its dominance in this year’s film nominations with nine major nods. The drama swept the top categories, including Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson, Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio and Best Actress for Chase Infinity.
The film also earned supporting nominations for Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, and Teyana Taylor, along with mentions for Anderson’s screenplay and Jonny Greenwood’s music.

In TV categories, HBO White lotus led the pack with six nominations, including Best Drama Series and acting awards for Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Amy Lou Wood, Walton Goggins and Jason Isaacs.
