Google is giving a useful update to its Gemini app, especially to try to learn something new to students and anyone. A new mode called guided learning is being rolled out, and it is designed to give more than only plain answers. Instead of giving you a quick response and proceeding, Gemini now tries to interpret things step by step, similarly how a tutor will help in real life. Therefore, whatever the subject or you want to start an essay, Gemini will try to guide you through the problem. This will ask follow-up questions, check if you are getting points, and adjust its answers based on adjusting its answers.
This guided learning facility is powered by Learchlm, a new model that Google has developed with inputs from teachers, scientists and education experts. The idea is that people do not learn properly when they are just answered. So Gemini now really focuses on helping you learn, not only to cheat you on homework.
Along with this, Gemini is also getting new equipment such as flashcards and individual study guides. If you are modified for a test or trying to remember only key points, it can automatically generate flashcards based on your questions, class notes or quiz results. It can also keep the study guide together which meets your learning speed and needs.
And when you are working with some complex, such as water cycle, cell biology, or climate change, will try to make it easier to understand using the Gemini view. This means that diagrams, pictures and even relevant YouTube videos will show the things to help explain more clearly.
This update is rolling out on time for the new school year in many countries, and also seems to be more competing with Google’s chatgpt, especially in the education place. Such AI Tool Homework Help, Testing present and learning new skills are becoming popular, and Google clearly wants Mithun to be seen more than only a chatbot.
To go with the launch, Google is also bringing back its free one year for upgraded Gemini for students in some countries including America, Brazil, Japan, Indonesia and Korea. If you are a university student with a .EDU email address, then you will get access to additional equipment such as Gemini 2.5, Notebookslm for organizing study materials, and even Veo, which converts the text into a short video. There are also Jules, a coding accessory that helps in programming functions.
