Singer Niall Horan mourns the death of his former bandmate Liam Payne, sharing heartfelt memories and condolences.
Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan has paid an emotional tribute to his former One Direction member Liam Payne. He posted an old photo of Payne with him from his boy band days and wrote a condolence message expressing his disbelief at Payne’s tragic death.
In a lengthy note on social media, Niall Horan wrote, “I am completely devastated by the passing of my wonderful friend Liam. It doesn’t feel real at all. Liam had an energy for life and a passion for work that was infectious. He was the brightest in every room and always made everyone feel happy and safe.”
Reminiscing about their time together, Horan continued, “All the laughs and jokes we had over the years, sometimes about the simplest of things, come to mind through sadness. We got to live our wildest dreams together and I will cherish every moment we spent together.” forever. The bond and friendship we had is something that doesn’t happen often in a lifetime.”
“I feel so lucky that I got the chance to see her so recently. Sadly, I didn’t know that after saying goodbye and hugging her that evening, I would be saying goodbye forever. It was heartbreaking. My love and condolences to Karen, Ruth and of course her son, Peno, he concluded.

Liam Payne, 31, died on October 16 After falling from the third floor of his hotel balcony In Buenos Aires, Argentina. Preliminary investigation revealed that he died due to multiple injuries and excessive bleeding.
