There was a time when Sharon Stone was at the top of her game. She was getting movie contracts and playing memorable roles in great movies like Total Recall, Basic Instinct, etc. However, in 2001, she suffered a stroke.
In her recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, The Quick and the Dead actress opened up about the incident that completely changed her life.
Explaining the way she thinks now, Stone recalled that a Buddhist monk told her that she was “reborn” in her own body. The actress further revealed that she had a near-death experience but was brought back.
The Catwoman star further explained how she suffered bleeding in her brain for nine days and how her “brain was pushed to the front of her face”. Sharon Stone added that her brain was not in the same condition as it was before the incident.
“And while all of this was happening, everything changed,” the actress added.
He further said that his sense of smell, his sense of sight, his sense of touch, everything has changed.
Along with this, she was also unable to study for a few years. While many people thought she was going to die, others misused her situation. The Running Wild actress said that she had lost millions of dollars deposited in her personal bank account.
This was a savings of $18 million after the actress’ success. Stone further revealed that when she was discharged from the hospital, everything from her refrigerator to her phone was missing because it was in “other people’s name.”
However, the actress still decided to motivate herself by focusing on positive things.

Sharon Stone previously told People magazine that, in the early stages of her recovery, she was unable to see properly and also suffered from memory loss.
Stone further explained that he felt a lump on the top of his head that felt like someone had punched him.
Though the actress kept her condition under wraps for a long time, she opened up about how she has changed over time and is comfortable talking about the stroke publicly.
