A few months ago, here at India Today Tech, we reviewed one of the first robot cleaner devices of Dream in India, The Dream L10S Pro Ultra, and we were impressed. This device was not just a regular robot cleaner, but, in fact, we tried one of the smarteststand. This left us eager to learn more. Therefore, we sit with Manu Sharma, Managing Director of Dream India and sit to get information about how the company is planning to establish itself in the Indian market.

In the conversation, Sharma revealed that Drimna is only looking at the expansion in India, but in the next few months, there is a plan to expand rapidly – with special attention to the vacuum cleaner. “India is a very important market for us. The vacuum cleaner segment here is still in its newborn stage, which has only 1 percent entry. We see immense potential, “Manu said.

Dream is a Chinese home appliance company. This entered the Indian market with a range of products at the end of 2023, including cordless vacuum, wet and dry stick vacuum, and hairs, preparing equipment. For some time, the company is setting its base in the country. As it prepares for its next stage, it is ready to launch seven robo-vacuums-as a wet and cleaner-and a wet and dried vacuum.

Pay attention to technology

While the future plans of Dream definitely look promising, the company also knows that it faces significant challenges in India, and even more because it has a name that is new to Indian users. To add it, it has some malignant competition. The most important is dyson, a brand in which there is a reputation that other can only envy due to core technology, design and focus on previous innovations. Then there is Philips, with its heritage, and Xiaomi, which is extremely aggressive with prices.

But Manu believes that the dream can meet these challenges. He says that in the coming months, Dream will be focused on providing Indian customers the best of their technology in its price range. “We have developed digital motors up to 200,000 rpm, which is a global benchmark. Our AI-operated algorithms and fluids combined with mechanical expertise, offer our product unmatched performance, ”said Manu Sharma. “We have strategically deployed ourselves by offering products at various price points. We complete various segments, from cheap to premium, give consumers an option. ,

A large part of tech innovation that talks about dreams is its adaptation and localization to improve its products for user needs. Manu gives an example of a brush in its upcoming robot cleaner. For Southeast Asian markets like India, the company is using hard floors and tailored brush designs to handle high debris. “We are also developing products with high suction power to meet the demands of Indian homes,” Manu said.

Given that it is a relatively new company, Dream is more tune for the latest development in AI and robotics. “AI is a main focus for us. Globally, our 60 percent of our employees are in R&D, and we spend 7 percent of our total sales on R&D, ”Manu said. “We have filed more than 600 patents and have received 3,200 patents globally. In our robotic vacuum, AI plays an important role in navigation, object detection and mapping. We are also working on AI-powered view and advanced mapping. ,

With expanding its portfolio, Dream wants to create its after -sales services and expand its presence in both online and offline channels. “We are partnership with retail chains, to open a special Dream Experience store, where consumers can experience our products,” Manu revealed. “We are already present in 165 Indian cities and aims to expand in 200 cities this year.”

With the experience store and service centers, Dreame is planning to offer on-site service, where technicians visit customers’ homes for repair or replacement. Additionally, the company will soon launch virtual demo for additional facilities.
