Acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro recently said he experienced an ‘oppressive’ atmosphere in a hotel room in Scotland. The director was in the country to shoot the upcoming Frankenstein adaptation.

The director revealed that he had voluntarily offered to stay in the room after a producer vacated the room after experiencing some “scary” things.

The director said, “Strange electrical and physical phenomena have left him terrified.” Informing his fans about the incidents, he wrote, “Nothing has happened yet, but the atmosphere in the room is oppressive, and I am not going to spend much time in there. I have kept (the room), but will be sleeping in another room – I need six hours of sleep to have a good shooting day, there is something in that room with me.”

On the work front, del Toro is busy adapting Mary Shelley’s classic film Frankenstein, which will star Oscar Isaac in the lead role.
