At his recent concert in Gujarat, Diljit Dosanjh left the crowd in splits of laughter when he stopped his performance to watch some people from the hotel balcony.
Seeing him in the middle of the song, he quipped, “The one who is sitting in the hotel balcony, you have a very good view, man. Yeh to hotel wale game kar gaye. Without ticket yes.” (For those sitting on the hotel balcony, you’ve got a great view, man. The people at the hotel really played the game. Without tickets, huh).
As the camera panned to show the free spectators on the balcony, the spectators began laughing. Accepting the moment with humour, Diljit continued the show and dedicated his hit song Lemonade to his unexpected audience.
Diljit had earlier announced additional dates for his Dil-Luminati tour in Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur. Having previously performed in Delhi and Jaipur, he recently took to the stage in Ahmedabad. The tour, which started with a grand event in Delhi, continued with performances in Jaipur, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
However, before their Hyderabad show, the Telangana government issued a notice directing them to avoid singing songs related to alcohol, drugs or violence, and also warned against the use of children in the performance.
In response, Diljit Dosanjh addressed the matter during his Ahmedabad concert, saying that he would stop making songs on alcohol only if the government imposed a nationwide ban.
