Designer Rocky S remembers ‘guru’ Rohit Bal: Kashmir was his artistic inspiration

Designer Rocky S called late designer Rohit Bal an ‘icon’ and described him as his ‘mentor’ in the fashion industry. In an exclusive interview with India Today Digital, Rocky talks about the artistic inspiration for Bal’s collection and how he has always kept Kashmir close to his heart.
Rocky S said that Bal’s death is a huge loss to his industry, and he will always be remembered as someone who was ‘brilliant’ in everything he did. The designer said, “This is a huge loss for our industry. He was excellent, brilliant and one of the only designers who was a pioneer in everything he did. He was like a guru.”
Rocky further added, “I knew him to be a very sweet human being and extremely talented. What he did is amazing and will live forever. Everyone will be inspired by what he started and what he did.” ” His career.”
Rohit Bal’s collection and Kashmir connection
The designer explained that Bal did not talk much and believed in expressing himself through his art. He told, “I don’t remember exactly when I last met her, but I believe it was a few years ago. Asked if he remembered any of Bal’s designs for his creative excellence, Rocky S described the late designer’s fascination for Kashmir. “Of course, I remember her last showcase at the Lakme Fashion Week (earlier this year). Bal, who was 63 when he breathed his last, was suffering from heart-related ailments for some time.
